Words and Light

Did you Paint me?

Did you paint me?
I thought you might have
Brought me to your doorstep
Glittering alms for poor souls

Did you paint me?
Welcoming my entrance into your life
A blessing in companionship
A humble powerful wife

Did you paint me?
Am I the colors you chose
Arranged in swirls and dashes
Satin covered clothes

Did you paint me?
Upon your mind’s canvas of light
Sparkling dancing
And holding you tight

Did you paint me?
Fierce ready and raw
A tiger in pillowed bed
That tender lover you saw

Did you paint me?
Sweet, fleshy and soft
Golden light intensely all around
Pleasure in union here and aloft

Did you paint
These dreams of yours
Or,
Did we paint them
Together
Upon our distant shores

And, Did I paint you
Upon my own brow
I think it’s possible
Somehow, somehow...
